For over 60 years, Southside Ball players from neighborhoods across the city have gathered in the name of the sport to create lifelong connections. This ball club enjoys success on the field but remains committed to creating a path for all kids to play ball and build relationships regardless of zip code. At Southside, everyone lives out the motto - "WE'VE GOT YOUR BACK." This motto is most often applied on the field but frequently off. Southside is special.

The Southside Baseball Association is also a vital aspect of the Avondale revitalization. It was a leading cause to renovate the historic park. The association funds the maintenance of the fields and surroundings, which is a central feature of the park and a great boost to the Saturday activity in Avondale. Southside jerseys fill Post Office Pies, Saw's, Big Spoon Creamery, Ferus and more on our game days.    

Southside can reach more kids, but we need your help. The field drainage system must be improved. Rain and poor drainage interrupt more of the Southside's season than other ball clubs, which limits practice schedules and games. Our batting cages are tattered and the lighting system is outdated.

We know you believe our kids deserve better.
